Top 21 NBA Coaches

2. K.C. Jones

This man holds a phenomenal winning percentage, with a record of 522-252 during the regular season while he was coaching the Washington Bullets/Wizards, Seattle SuperSonics, and the Boston Celtics. While he was head coach, his teams made the playoffs a whooping nine out of his ten seasons.

Also, he’s never had a losing season, which is amazing. His best coaching seasons were in 1983-84 and 1985-86; it was the year the Celtics won the NBA championship.

Jones was well-know for employing a low-key, laid-back approach that won him seven division titles, five Eastern Conference titles and two championships. And of course, that didn’t go unnoticed – his coaching abilities hailed more championship rings than Jones had fingers, so he was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1989.
