Even without some of the biggest NBA A-listers like LeBron James and Kevin Durant on the squad, the American basketball team managed to take the gold medal in, not-surprisingly, easy fashion.
The 2014 FIBA World Cup Finals proved to be an easy win for Team USA, who crushed Serbia by a score of 129:92.
Even though James and Durant were not present, young NBA star Kyrie Irving was. He ended up being selected as the MVP of the tournament, leading the team throughout the tournament and in the finals as well.
Irving scored 26 points in the final and was also selected for the five-member All-World Team.
Other notable scorers in the final game were James Harden with 23 points, and on the Serbian end, Nikola Kalinic and Nemanja Bjelica with 18 points apiece.
Serbia got out to a very early led, but once the US team moved ahead in the first quarter, it never looked back, easily defeating Serbia by 37 points.
