Peyton Manning is officially the record-holder for touchdowns thrown.
He came into the Sunday night game against the San Francisco 49ers trailing previous record holder Brett Favre by three touchdowns. Manning ended up throwing four touchdown in the game, passing Favre and setting a new record of 509 career touchdown passes.
The Broncos trampled the 49ers, easily beating them 42-17. The season has not even reached the half way mark, so expect Peyton to continue adding to his record, which by the end of his career, might prove to be an unbeatable record for future generations. Congratulations were sent to Manning from all around the league, and even Favre chimed in, congratulating Manning on the feat.
Needless to say, Manning’s legacy has already been set in stone and is a sure first-ballot Hall of Famer whenever he chooses to end his storied and spectacular career. His next mission, to win his second Super Bowl.
