Ty Lawson may be in full control when he leads the Denver Nuggets, but off the court, it seems that he doesn’t really have his life completely figured out yet. We are hearing once again that Lawson has been arrested for driving under the influence.
The incident happened last night in Los Angeles, more precisely at around two-thirty a.m. local time. The police spotted him driving at high speed and he was pulled over. Kevin Tao, the arresting officer, told the media that Lawson displayed several signs of intoxication . The Nuggets player was booked at 3:43 and was released around 9 a.m. on $5,000 bail.
Lawson was already arrested for DUI this year, in Denver late January. To make things ironic, he is due in court for the first arrest this Friday. This may prove to be a problem since Lawson is on pre-trial supervision which entails no drinking as well as monitored sobriety.
There is no telling in what way this new arrest is going to complicate Lawson’s upcoming legal proceedings. Not in a good way, that is for sure.
