NLCS MVP Murphy Makes History

The New York Mets are heading to the World Series after absolutely crushing the Chicago Cubs in every single facet and sweeping them. Let’s not kid ourselves, the entire Mets team is playing lights out. The pitching has been insane, with their three best starters hurling 100mph cheese consistently and absolutely freezing the Cubs’ bats.

But the MVP award simply had to go to slugger Daniel Murphy. All the guy did was crush homers. He hit a home run in all four games of the Cubs sweep and he hit a couple in the last two games of the Mets’ prior series.

Murphy has hit a home run in six straight postseason games. That is something that no baseball player has ever done in the history of the sport. In the NLCS, his batting average was an absolutely ridiculous .529.

No one can explain how Murphy is doing this. Even he doesn’t know how it’s happening. But the Mets hope that it’ll last into the World Series.
