NFL Players Won’t Be Able To Wear Beats Headphones

Tampa Bay Buccaneers v New Orleans Saints

When it comes to exclusive agreements between the NFL and sponsors, it’s always a big deal.

According to sources close to the league, the NFL has signed an exclusive deal with audio company Bose. This means that players and coaches will not be allowed to wear any other type of headphones while they are on camera.

No matter whether you are in training camp, at practice, warming up before the game, or wearing headphones while talking to the media after a came, you will only be allowed to wear Bose headphones when there is a possibility that you will be appearing on a television program that is owned by the NFL.

Fans might not think that this is a big deal, but it is definitely an obstacle for a bunch of high profile players. For example, players like 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and Seahawks star defensive back Richard Sherman have endorsement deals with Beats by Dre and have even appeared in advertisements for the brand, which they will no longer be allowed to wear during NFL broadcasts.
