NBA Free Agency starts this Friday and it is one of the best free agent classes in the history of the game. Combine this with the fact that the new TV deal has raised the cap to unprecedented levels and you get a situation where literally ANYTHING can happen.
The two top names in the free agency will definitely be LeBron James who just brought a title to Cleveland and Kevin Durant of the OKC Thunder. While LeBron is expected to re-sign with the Cavs, Durant is a total mystery. He could stay put, but it is more likely that he will be considering a bigger market.
Two of the league’s best centers are also free agents this summer – Andre Drummond and Hassan Whiteside. Drummond had a career season this past year while Whiteside will definitely find suitors thanks to his numbers.
DeMar DeRozan is another player who will be getting plenty of offers, following a fantastic season with the Toronto Raptors. Mike Conley will most likely stay with the Memphis Grizzlies although they will probably have to pay the market price for their point guard, finally.
Dwight Howard is not as attractive as he was in the past, but he will probably still get paid, as will Al Horford who is expected to re-sign with the Atlanta Hawks.
Another player that will most definitely stay put is Dwyane Wade who will probably also play the role of the Miami Heat co-head of recruitment. Dirk Nowitzki and Tim Duncan will also stay with their teams while players like Bradley Beal, Chandler Parsons, Ryan Anderson and Joakim Noah have plenty of mulling ahead of them.
Only one thing is for sure – it is going to be an insane free agency!
