According to a source close to USA TODAY Sports, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the agreement has not yet been announced, the Sacramento Kings have agreed to terms with free agent guard Ramon Sessions.
Sessions will serve at the point guard and shooting guard positions.
The Kings opted against re-signing point guard Isaiah Thomas, who was a favorite fan pick, but who headed a team that won just 28 games in each of the past two seasons.
Thomas landed a four-year, $28 million deal via sign-and-trade with the Phoenix Suns, and the Kings will be relying on the veteran point guard Darren Collison (who signed a three-year, $16 million deal in early July this year), second-year talents Ben McLemore and Ray McCallum and rookie off-guard Nik Stauskas (rookie drafted eighth overall out of Michigan).
