According to reports, the Brown’s rookie quarterback and his entourage got into a scuffle in downtown Cleveland over the weekend.
However, after taking a look at the police report, it seems that Manziel himself was not directly involved in the fight.
According to local reports, a local fan noticed Manziel at a luxury hotel complex on Saturday morning at about 2:30am. After trying to communicate with the quarterback and approach him, the man got into an altercation with members of Manziel’s entourage and punches were thrown.
Browns General Manager Ray Farmer said that the organization is aware of the incident and that they are looking into it.
He also added that the time at which the incident occurred is problematic for the organization, which advises players to stay away from late night events and make decisions in order to avoid getting into these types of problems.
Farmer also said that the team has talked with Manziel and that they have no further comments about the issue at this time.
