2. Eric Wright – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Eric Wright had several run-ins with the law even before he became a professional athlete. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2007, but he was already accused of rape in 2005 while in college and according to reports, he was arrested for having well over 100 ecstasy pills in his apartment as well. But he was a talented cornerback and the Browns decided that they would take a chance on him, despite the fact that he had a troubled past.
He had a pretty good first year with the Browns, but he ended up getting traded to the San Francisco 49ers in the end. The 2008 season in particular was pretty good to him, and he even won the Defense Player of the Week award in week 6, and returned an interception for a touchdown 94 yards.
In 2012, he was arrested for driving under the influence when he was involved in a car accident outside of the Staples Center. He did admit to police officers that he was drinking earlier, but he would not let them give him a breathalyzer.
