Florida State Seminoles quarterback Jameis Winston will finally be able to focus on nothing but football. This comes at a prefect time, since bowl games are right around the corner.
According to former Florida Supreme Court Justice Major Harding, there was insufficient evidence to satisfy the burden of proof related to allegations that the star football player had violated student codes of conduct.
There were two allegations of sexual misconduct and two for endangerment.
Now that he has been cleared of rape allegations, Winston can get back to football. However, the woman who filed the allegations has give days to appeal. The woman’s identity is not know, since the AP is not permitted to identify people who say that they were victims of sexual abuse.
FSU stated that they chose the former supreme court judge for the process in order to remove any doubt about the integrity of the court process.
