Grammy Award-winning rapper Drake unveiled the new uniforms for the Toronto Raptors during the OVO fest on Monday night. Apart from being good at rapping, Drake seems to have a talent for design as he collaborated with the team on their new jerseys and proudly wore a black and gold version of the uniform at his Toronto performance.
The golden ambassador of the Raptors, Drake wore Cory Joseph’s No.6 jersey, which is actually one of the two road variations, the other one being black and red. As far as home games are concerned, the team will continue to wear white with red trim. Every jersey reads ‘Raptors’ across the chest, whereas the previous uniforms had ‘Toronto’ written on the front.
The shorts feature their new logo, a basketball with a dinosaur claw on one side which represents the ‘O’ in ‘TO,’ referring to Toronto, of course. Finally, there’s also a maple leaf logo on the waistband.
