The NBA Finals are a huge basketball event, the culmination of another long and hard season that happens in four to seven games. This year, however, the Finals are going to be extra sweet, and for a few reasons.
For one, it is going to be a rematch of last year’s Finals and that is always a good thing. With a rematch, you get two teams that know each other well and that are ready to take it up a notch.
In addition to this, we are definitely getting a series between the best team in the West and the best team in the East.
The Golden State Warriors have had a historic year, going 73-9 and managing to beat the OKC after trailing 3-1 in the Western Conference Finals. The Cleveland Cavaliers are probably the only decent team in the Eastern Conference and their road to the Finals was much easier. Still, with players such as LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love, writing them off would be a huge mistake.
This year’s Finals series promises to be a spectacular one, especially since the Cavs are healthy this time around. Tomorrow, the series kicks off in California and we cannot wait!
Bring it on!
