NFL Players who retire often turn to coaching careers. The Chicago Bears has a high incidence of retiring players turned coach to remain active in the NFL. The following spotlights the former Bears who are on the sidelines coaching other teams.
1. Mike Ditka
Fondly known as “Da Coach”, Mike Ditka is undisputedly the best player turned coach in the history of the NFL. He’s the only player in history to win a Super Bowl as both a player and as head coach. He’s also groomed many other player coaches during his tenure with the Bears.
