2. Latrell Sprewell
There can be no doubt that Latrell Sprewell was one of the biggest talents in the NBA of the 90s and the 00s. If there had only been a way to change his personality, he would probably have become one of the greatest players of his generation.
Unfortunately, since personality adjustments are still part of the Sci-Fi realm, Latrell became better known as one of the worst teammates in the history of the game and a crazy dude in general. Among all the crazy stuff he did, an incident from 1997 still stands as the most ridiculous one. Namely, during practice, then Golden State Warriors coach P.J. Carlesimo wanted Latrell to throw “crispier” passes.
Latrell sprung at him and choked him for a good 10 seconds. He then went to take a shower, only to return refreshed for another bout with his physically diminutive coach. Over the course of the 90s, he also fought Jerome Kersey and Byron Houston, among others, often pulling out guns to threaten them. He was too much even for the 90s NBA.
